Yes! So I'm sitting at a starbucks in Geneva using weird wifi that won't let me post a blog, but just comments! I'm waiting for Lindsey, who missed our train this morning (this is why no one should ever do anything before 6:30). I got here no problem, leftmybag at the hotel and am drinking my favorite holiday gingerbread latte... For a whopping 6+euros but c'est la vie! Inapped soundly on the train and am enjoying my relaxing little sit. Even in Geneva the starbucks plays excellent Christmas music:)
Here's a cute story from yesterday... At the taste testing, the kids ate all the goodies they made with their teachers at school. But the parents also passed out clemintines and papillotes (a festive little French chocolate originating from Lyon) which are 2 very traditional Christmas treats. After the kids were done eating, they started chanting "pere Noel, pere Noel." finally, Santa comes out in his red suit and white beard askew, toting 4 big boxes. I child from each class was chosen to open the present that they would all get to play with(mostly balls and jump rope type toys to play with during the recess times).
Then, after it was all cleaned up, istayed for the parent raffle and miraculously won twice! I just bought, well borrowed 5bucks from another teacher for the tickets so I must have had my tickets still on top. I won a little yellow tea set and a knife sharpener lol. At least I didn't get the yogurt maker!
I got a ride home, called my mom, and finished packing before going to bed early! Lindsey should be here in 30 minutes or so and we can start our little tour:)
Does this work?
